They are getting too big for their britches and I hope they suffer for it.
I don't even like their stupid sales gimmicks, such as you have to buy 3 cases of water n order to get the sale price or their buy 6 or 10 items for the sale price. Do they think people have a warehouse or the money to stock that much?
I'm a very good shopper and know my prices. They have become outrageous as I said.

Plus, how many ppl don't check and end up paying the full price? Capt, Shaws does the same sales Gimmic. I shop at Shaws more often now. Went to the west side one and wow, the produce and meat section were really fresh looking. Strawberries $ 1.77 for pint.

from the carousel? I hope not, because I can barely walk
the store let alone pick up all of the bags, then again into my
truck and again into the house. Too much of a workout for
me at my age and health.
Btw, many times S&S claims the truck didn't come in yet on
sale items causing me to make a return trip only to be told
the same thing again 4 days later. I call the rain check S&S.

Light Travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak. <br />We were born with two ears and only one mouth ... Think about it!

johnboy00 wrote: FYI, AC Moore, next to Market Basket is closing ....again? or for good this time. Supposedly an ALDIs will take their place. ALDIs is owned by the same company as Trader Joes and makes Market Basket pries look expensive for some items. They do however have a rather limited selection. If you remember, they were trying to build where Central Music was, but it never happened.
That's odd. The problem before was AC Moore's lease and when they finally renewed, changing from the liquidation store back to the original, they said it was a multi-year renewal (ie more than just a couple years' extension.) The only Aldis that I know is in Raynham. Some prices are good, others so/so but yes, the selection is very limited. We just remarked on Saturday how neglected the old Central Music block is. That is an odd spot for another grocery store. I wish Marshalls would expand into a Marshalls/Home Goods instead.

Clifton -- You mentioned that it's probably the store's goal for you to do it yourself, I think your absolutely right. That's why they are going to increase Self Checkout registers. Many towns are outlawing plastic bags so the store won't have to supply them and they can blame the town. Of course this gives the store an opportunity to sell "reusable bags, some plastic. They get around the town laws by saying that the bag is intended to be re-used and not end up in a landfill. Believe me, if they could run a store with no cashiers, baggers. and cart retrieval workers they would be thrilled. Even with all the theft that goes on at the Self Check registers.

So many people who have been loyal to their employer
for most of their life are treated like crap. It's really out
of their hands to do otherwise. People who do squat
and have no knowledge screw things up. Held back
raises of the faithful go to these idiots and yet they hire
more idiots thinking they're going to gain.
As much as I like Market Basket, the stock people are
very annoying. I feel bad that they have to work around
customers, but it hampers my shopping because they're
everywhere.
In today's age, large super markets have little respect for
their employees. The bigger they are, the worse it is.
